Demolition

Too often, a parcel has existing structures including barns, houses, out-buildings, and abandoned boats, RVs or other vehicles. There are a variety of different demolition methods, and each of them is carefully calculated and planned based on the type of structure being demolished, its surroundings, and other factors. Let’s dispel the notion that demolition is simple by looking at the three most common demolition methods—explosive and implosive, machine demolition, and demolition by hand. We're your first call for breaking down the obstruction, and debris removal.

Marine Construction

Marine construction refers to the building and installation of structures that are designed to withstand the harsh marine environment. These structures include anything from sea walls, jetties, docks, and harbors to bridges, offshore oil rigs, and wind turbines. Structures built by marine construction companies protect shorelines, cities, and ports which protect the shoreline as well as structures and personal belongings from flooding, erosion, and other natural disasters. The marine construction industry employs a variety of professionals, including engineers, project managers, architects, construction workers, divers, and marine biologists. Each plays a different role in ensuring that marine construction projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Understanding the differences between a bulkhead and a seawall is essential if you want to protect your waterfront property. A bulkhead is a vertical shoreline stabilization structure that retains surcharge loads and the soil behind the load. However, a bulkhead only provides a minimal amount of protection against waves. On the other hand, a seawall protects frontline waters by limiting shoreline erosion, wave overtopping, and storm surges.

Forestry Mulching

What is Forestry Mulching? When using a forestry mulcher, the process of adding nutrients back into the soil occurs through the natural decomposition of the mulched material. The mulched material, consisting of small wood chips, bark, leaves, and other organic matter, begins to decompose once it is in contact with the soil. Decomposition is facilitated by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi, which break down organic matter into simpler compounds. This process releases nutrients stored within the plant material, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and various micronutrients. For a land clearing method that benefits the ecosystem, consider our forestry mulching services. We cut and shred only underbrush and small trees – creating a mulch that enhances the topsoil. Larger trees are left to continue maturing which makes them all healthier and they compliment your property. Forestry mulching is great for to prep for trail construction and to get rid of the undergrowth that can serve as kindling during dangerous forest fires.

Emergency Tree Removal

Dead and dying trees are a hard on your property. Left to the elements such as inclement weather, moisture, insects, fungus and other wood destroying organisms, you could end up with trees falling around your property. One never wants or expects a tree to fall on their belongings. Whether they have fallen randomly in the wooded areas, or on structures or vehicles, you want them removed quickly and professionally.

Driveway construction

Our driveway construction services cover every stage from site preparation to finishing, ensuring a strong, durable surface that meets your specific needs. We begin by evaluating and proofing the area, removing any unstable dirt, and leveling the site to establish a reliable base. From there, we lay the foundation using high-quality stone, which provides stability, prevents shifting, and supports efficient drainage. Depending on project requirements, we may also incorporate milling to enhance surface compaction, creating a long-lasting structure that can withstand frequent use and varying weather conditions.

For added durability, our driveway construction process includes grading and compacting each layer, optimizing for both strength and aesthetics. The use of materials like stone and dirt is carefully balanced to deliver a smooth, even finish while also preparing the base to handle heavy loads. Our team ensures each step of the driveway build is executed to maximize the surface’s lifespan, whether it’s a private residential driveway or a commercial access road.

Pond Excavation / Installation

More goes into building a pond than you may realize. IT requires a lot of planning in order to meet your needs as well as the details of location, depth, size, and even drainage if necessary. Being near the Chesapeake Bay watershed, we have additional very specific requirements in many localities to protect natural resources.

Ponds do require regular maintenance to ensure their structural integrity. If you have a pond on yr property, schedule a structural maintenance check.
